    • Strategic planning
    • Tactical planning
    •  Operational planning
Executing the business plan at three different levels is explained by below picture:

Strategic planning- Important decisions related to organization strategy and resource allocation can be developed at this level. Initially, the policy board decides the vision, mission and goals of an organization. It also suggests evaluation criteria for strategic planning and specifies the policy boundaries. Budget, time and people are the important resources allocated in this level.
Tactical Planning- Reviewing the decisions specified by policy board can be done at this level of planning. Senior management revisits the vision, mission and goals provided by policy board in order to assess whether it can provide benefits to the organization or not. Existing policies will be summarized and sent to next level so that changes can be identified. Senior management also combines all the available resources, identifies the problems and arranges alternates. Thus, in this level policy boundaries and vision, mission and goals of organization can be finalized.
Operational Planning- Detailed implementation of strategic and tactical planning is done at this level. Management team conducts SWOT analysis, identifies different stakeholders and develops a particular plan of action to reach the goals. Finally, managers allow stakeholders such as customers, employees and shareholders to express their views on developed vision, mission and goals of organization.

A clear step-by-step process to develop strategic plan is:
    1. Develop vision, mission and values statements
    2. Build a strategic planning process
    3. Recognize stakeholders and perform SWOT analysis
    4. Recognize the issues in content of strategy
    5. Review and adopt the strategic plan
    6. Implement the strategic plan and reassess it
    7. Allocate the resources like budget, time and staff.

Price- Price of a product must be decided based on the Product Life Cycle. Products or services which are highly technological and advanced can be released into market at premium prices where as the other products can be offered at low prices in order to attract most of the customers in market. Initially, Motorola provided the products at high prices in order to attain their research and development costs. During growth stage, the prices are decreased gradually according to the increase in sales. In maturity stage, sales were increased by introducing promotional offers.

Place- This refers to how the actual product reaches to customer and where the product can be sold. Manufacturer distributes the products through different mediums like physical and online. In case of Motorola, it distributed the products like phones, network equipments through network providers and independent retailers.

Promotion- Promoting a product can be categorized as ‘above-the-line’ promotion and ‘below-the-line’ promotion. Advertising the product through media like TV or Paper can be termed as ‘above-the-line’ promotion where as providing discounts and special offers on products can be referred as ‘below-the-line’ promotion. Motorola used both the promoting techniques in order to reach maximum number of customers. Product life cycle influenced this promotional activity- While launching new product, Motorola done wide-ranging promotions where as during growth stage promotions were decreased.

People- This marketing factor refers to all the employees who are working in Motorola organizations. Staff or employees play vital role in maintaining healthy customer relationships. Employees who involved in product development, promotions, sales and customer services are the few important personnel in case of Motorola.

Process- This factor mostly refers to the services offered by an organization. In order to deliver quality of services to the end user, Motorola introduced various new procedures. For example, procedures to identify needs of customers and processes to handle complaints from end users.

Physical evidence- In earlier days, the outlook of the company i,e. factory appearance doesn’t matter to the end user, but in today’s conditions physical layout is also playing a crucial role. Web services architecture - Internal and External

Providing web services means exposing all their internal operations and features to the clients through web, while providing the web services a standard architecture will be followed. Basically web services architecture can be categorized as:
    • Internal web services architecture
    • External web services architecture
Various web technologies which can handle these internal as well as external architectures separately are available and in the real time these two architectures has to work together for providing effective web services to the clients.
Internal web services architecture: Providing web services within a domain or organization through using middleware can be expressed as internal web services. As this architecture doesn’t allow any other client or domain to use the services it is known as behind-the-firewall web services. For example consider an organization which sells product to the customers in market, if the person at help-desk wants to access information of a customer completely then internal web services has to be utilized. This kind of internal architecture will help in combining customer information available in different parts of the organization. Purchasing date, cost, payments, service and warranty details of purchased product can be viewed on single screen if internal web services are used effectively. Internal web services architecture uses conventional middleware for using internal services.
Figure: Shows internal web services architecture
From the above internal web services architecture it can be noted that, exchanging or sharing of information will be done between various users within in a company.

External architecture of web services: The external web services architecture allows outsiders or other clients to access the services. In order to get access to particular web service, the client has to send a request to the provider in return provider will accept the request and offers requested services. The process of external web services is provided below:
Figure: Shows external architecture of Web services

The above depicted figure clearly explains how web service can be obtained from the service provider. Here the company A is service requester, company B is service provider and company C is the directory which contains the information of all available web services. All the web service providers have to publish the information about services offered by them. The clients refer to the service availability directory in order to find providers.  After choosing a service provider Company A and company B interact with each other to exchange information or to obtain web service. Thus the basic process to be followed for attaining web service is publishing, finding and interacting.
